MUSIC VIDEO: Phutureprimitive – Lucid Dream

November 7, 2013Mike Vincent

Take a peep above at the much anticipated music video for Phutureprimitive’s newest single, “Lucid Dream”, created in collaboration with multimedia production team Vinton Depiction. The shoot takes place in two incredibly scenic Oregon coast locations: an abandoned fish hatchery in Pistol River, OR and the very unique landscapes of Pacific City. The music video embodies exactly what the Phutureprimitive narrative  is about, as you are guided through an apocalyptic future world where nature has taken over. Your eyes will not be turned off as the forest comes to life, thanks to the fantastic work of lead compositor Michael Miller of Hive Studios. The lighting and stage design that you see in the video was exquisitely crafted by the talented architect Michael Bowles of MEBworks.

I have been able to observe this entire project at almost every stage: the birth of the initial idea, brainstorming, team formation, shooting, editing and most of all the amount of time this team has put into the project. If this piece of art was a painting, there would be a massive amount of sweat, and perhaps blood spattered upon it. This video is worth a whole lot more than $12,000, which is the amount that the Phutureprimitive community  raised in order for this dream to become a reality. Rather, it truly is a testament to the generosity, support, creativity, and love that this wonderful community has to offer.
