Soulacybin – Gratitude
Colorado producer, Soulacybin takes the listener on a meditational journey through outerspace and alternate dimensions on his latest release, Gratitude. Soulacybin draws on influence from such artists as Bluetech, Kalya Scintilla and Phutureprimitive to create alien atmospheres layered with texture. Gratitude has a very cohesive feel literally flowing together with the sound of water. Blending traditional dub, psychedelic soundscapes, world instruments and thick squishy bass lines, this EP is right at home on the Merkaba Music label. Gratitude is a celebration of life and love. It begins with a transmission from spiritual teacher, Alaya Love, “Calling all beings of light, all warriors of love, all angels. This message is an activation of the heart it’s the activation as true beings of love. We have come on a mission to planet earth to do some very important work. We are here to bring heaven on earth.”
I just had my first opportunity to see Soulacybin play at Envision Festival. His set was the first one I caught of the weekend and his healing vibrations really set the intention for a monumental weekend. The humid jungle night made for a great setting for his lush tracks, wet with reverberation. The Funktion-One stacks at the Luna Stage showed the full depth of bass in his tracks. Keep your eye out for Soulacybin on the festival circuit this summer!
